Psychotherapy is a scientifically based talking cure (S. Freud). Psychotherapy provides support in difficult phases of life, empowering clients to deal with adversity in a healthy and authentic way and thus regain the inner strength that enables personal well-being and quality of life.

I work in Austria as a "Psychotherapist in Training, Working under Supervision" – both in individual therapy settings and in group psychotherapy.

I offer individual therapy at the Sonnenburg practice in Innsbruck: Sonnenburgstraße 9/5, 6020 Innsbruck

From 2026, I will also be offering group psychotherapy in Innsbruck and Salzburg.

Psychotherapy

  • Psychotherapy might be of help if you lose your personal or mental balance in times of profound change: when you lose your job, when you are bereaved of a loved one, when you fall seriously ill, etc. In order to adapt and come to terms with such events and regain your personal balance, you might want to contact a psychotherapist. Or, you might feel you have come to a dead-end and standstill, and you are looking for new perspectives or striving for a more fullfilling and self-determined life.

  • I have been trained as a humanistic psychotherapist, in Viktor Frankl’s school of logotherapy and existential analysis which was further developed in Austria by Alfried Längle. Frankl wrote "Man’s Search For Meaning“, and saw the "will to meaning“ to be the primary human motivation. Existential analysis, therefore, sees man as striving for meaning, freedom and responsibility in life. May I quote Frankl: “Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather must recognize that it is he who is being asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible.”

I am currently in the final stage of my psychotherapy training. In Austria, I am listed as a "Psychotherapist in Training, Working under Supervision“, i.e. I have an independent psychotherapy practice and offer my services to clients, and regularly have my work being supervised by senior therapists. Thus I can ensure best quality, and at the same time fully commit to my professional duty and ethos of confidentiality.
